CHOGYAM TRUNGPA (1940-1987)—meditation master, teacher, and artist—founded Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, the first Buddhist-inspired university in North America; the Shambhala Training program; and an international association of meditation centers known as Shambhala International. He is the author of numerous books, including more than 25 published posthumously. Recent titles include Smile at Fear: Awakening the True Heart of Bravery and Work, Sex, Money: Real Life on the Path of Mindfulness. CAROLYN ROSE GIMIAN has been a meditation teacher for more than 35 years. A senior student of Chogyam Trungpa, she is the editor of many of his books, including Shambhala: The Sacred Path of the Warrior and Smile at Fear: Awakening the True Heart of Bravery.
