Andra Gillespie is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Emory University, USA. She is the editor of and contributor to Whose Black Politics? Cases in Post-Racial Black Leadership (2010) and the author of The New Black Politician: Cory Booker, Newark, and Post-Racial America (2012). In addition, Andra provides political commentary to numerous local and national media outlets (print, radio and television), contributes online media commentary, and has published op-ed pieces in well-respected publications.
