Dr. Ganapathy Subramanian is a biotechnology consultant with over30 years experience in industry and academia, encompassing theapplication and development of processing, purificationmethodologies, and chromatographic systems for largescale use inenvironmental science, food science, perfumery, cosmetics, andpharmaceuticals. He has also taught extensively in the area of foodand medical technology.

A chemistry graduate from Madras, India, Dr. Subramanian wasawarded his doctorate, from the University of Glasgow, for work onnatural products. His main research interests lie in theutilization of natural material separation processes andbioconversions.

Dr. Subramanian has written and edited a number of books andarticles in the field of biotechnology. For the last 15 years, hehas been organizing conferences promoting the integration andsharing of knowledge between academia and industry.
