Wael Kamal Eid (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia) is Head of Risk Management at SEDCO Holding Group, a Saudi Arabian wealth management conglomerate. He has extensive hands-on experience in Risk Management and Islamic banking in the Middle East and the UK. Wael started his professional Risk Management career at the Commercial International Bank in Egypt. He then pursued his MBA at the University of Warwick in the UK after being awarded the British Chevening scholarship.
Mehmet Asutay (Durham, U.K.) is a Professor in Middle Eastern and Islamic Political Economy and Finance at the Durham University Business School; the Director of the Durham Doctoral Training Centre in Islamic Finance; is the programme director for MSc in Islamic Finance & MSc in Islamic Finance and Management Programmes, and is also the Director of the Durham Islamic Finance Summer School. Mehmet is also the Managing Editor of the Review of Islamic Economics; is an Associate Editor of the American Journal of Islamic Social Sciences; and is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the International Journal of Islamic and Middle Eastern Finance and Management. He is also the Honorary Treasurer of BRISMES (British Society for Middle East Studies) and of the International Association for Islamic Economics.
