商品簡介
In his new book, PROGRESSIVE ILLUMINATION: A JOURNEY WITH CARDINAL JOHN HENRY NEWMAN, Edward J. Ondrako, a Conventual Franciscan priest, offers a modern take on the philosophy of John Henry Newman, from inter-faith solidarity, to the need of theology in liberal arts education, to papal infallibility. Ondrako dusts off the teachings of Newman, and applies them to questions of doctrine, philosophy, and current events, presenting a scholarly perspective based in years of rigorous research and personal growth. Ondrako himself has taught and served in campus ministry at such star universities as Cornell, Columbia, Syracuse, and Princeton. Whether you are a believer or non-believer, Newman’s writings are especially relevant in today’s global, post 9/11 society, and help to shed new light on the problems of a turbulent modern world, while offering real solutions.
