The Class Reunion ─ An Annotated Translation and Commentary on the Sumerian Dialogue Two Scribes

The Class Reunion offers a critical edition, translation and commentary on the Sumerian scholastic dialogue otherwise known as Two Scribes and speaks to the central themes of scholastic thought in the Old Babylonian Tablet House (ca. 1800–1600 BCE).

J. Cale Johnson, Ph.D. (2004), UCLA, is Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at SFB 980: Episteme in Bewegung and Deputy Head of the BabMed Project at Freie Universitat Berlin. He has published extensively on Sumerian literature as well as early Mesopotamian intellectual history. Markham J. Geller is Professor of Semitic Languages at University College London, currently on secondment to the Freie University Berlin as Professor fur Wissensgeschichte. He is Principal Investigator of BabMed, an Advanced ERC Project.
