Michael E. Jones teaches art, sport and media law at the University of Massachusetts Lowell where he serves as Director of the Legal Studies Program. Jones’ is a leading expert on the copyrights and moral rights of visual artists. His most recent text is Intellectual Property Law Fundamentalspublished by Carolina Academic Press (2014) and co-edited with his wife the acclaimed bookTIMELESS: The Photography of Rowland Scherman distributed by University Press of New England (2014). He has penned more than thirty law review articles on subjects ranging from who owns the copyright to the most frequently reproduced photograph in the world (Che Guevara) to what is a museum to do about Nazi-era art.
