商品簡介
The Anglican Communion has seen dramatic church growth and decline across recent decades. This book provides the first detailed study of such growth and decline by means of a wide range of case studies across five continents, prefaced by a substantial introductory chapter and followed by a short conclusion. Drawing on new research from a range of disciplines, balancing western and non-western scholarship. contributors give serious attention to both the non-western and the western elements of the Anglican communion. Exploring beyond the study of Anglicanism, the volume situates the trajectories of the various provinces of Anglicanism, alongside the trajectories of other Christian churches and wider debates about secularisation and ’re-sacralisation’. This book offers invaluable insights for a wide range of readers: in the Anglican church, in academia and beyond, particularly in light of the Lambeth Conference 2018.
