Caryn Mirriam-Goldberg was 2013-09 Kansas Poet Laureate and is the author of over two dozen books, including Kansas Book Award winning Chasing Weather: Tornadoes, Tempests, and Thunderous Skies in Word and Image. She also authored Library Journal’s Star Reviewed cancer recovery memoir: The Sky Begins At Your Feet. She is the Founder of Transformative Language Arts at Goddard College. She also leads writing workshops as well as singing/songwriting retreats. Caryn lives near Kansas City, and is constantly grateful to wake and dream overlooking native prairie and emerging woodlands with her family.
