My Life Story I was born April 24,1829 at Bayou Blue, Louisiana, USA. The third child of 12 children of Abbie Joseph Porche, Sr., And Odette Marie Martin Porche. I spoke only French until I started school at six years old. I left Southeastern Louisiana College and Volunteered for the Army September 1946 at seventeen, A Paratrooper in the 82"''Airborne Division. Discharged in February 1948 I was employed by, Schlumberger Well Services May 15,1948. April 30,1950, 1 married my Co-worker, Phyllis Panepinto, In Harvey, Louisiana at St. Rosalie Church. I retired from Schlumberger as a Senior Sales Engineer October 1982 A widower, I have 4 children, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. And 1 great, great grandchild.
