INTRODUCTION Supervisory level employees play an important role in any organization. Supervisors in a production or manufacturing organization typically serve as a member of team leadership and are considered a technical professional within the organization. As such the production supervisor, organization provides difficult technical tasks that is, oversees the planning, scheduling, setup and running of routine or special production streams, manages the dispersal and distribution of materials for production, material labor and material requirements to meet the daily production schedule, oversees the work of production and production support staff, communicates expectations and provides direction and training, monitors work performance and provide feedback, coordinates maintenance of production equipment, etc. So it can be said that supervisors perform a wide range of functions, all of which are closely intertwined. They serves very pressure-filled job. In other words it must be said that supervisors must be well-rounded employees who are willing to accept the responsibilities required to keep an organization running. But it is a matter of concern over the past few decades, the nature of work has changed dramatically by changes in science and technology at work, the globalization in many industries, organizational restructuring, remarkable growth of economy, downsizing, changes in work constructs and work time scheduling have radically transformed the nature of work. In organization these changes reflects in employee‟s behavior to be experience and feels moderate to high degree of psychological, physiological and social disturbances in various spheres of their lives and workplace as a resultant effect of stress.
