The book discusses mediation as one of the alternative methods of conflict resolution, under the light of the New Civil Procedure Code of 2015. The work is intended to contribute to the problems of the current judicial system, especially with regard to the slowness of proceedings. Still, this title is intended to contribute to the speed of the judicial system in Brazil, a country still rooted in the culture of litigation, which often ends up happening unnecessarily. Finally, the work seeks to make people understand that before actually going to court, there are other means of conflict resolution that are less costly financially and psychologically.
