1:2 Και η γη ήταν άμορφη και κενή. και το σκοτάδι ήταν στο πρόσωπο του βαθέως. Και το Πνεύμα του Θεού κινήθηκε πάνω στο πρόσωπο των υδάτων.

1:4 Και είδε ο Θεός το φως, ότι ήταν καλό- και ο Θεός χώρισε το φως από το σκοτάδι.
1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
1:5 Και ο Θεός ονόμασε το φως Ημέρα, και το σκοτάδι ονόμασε Νύχτα. Και το βράδυ και το πρωί ήταν η πρώτη μέρα.
1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
