I can't wrap my head around it.

But I can't look away despite having surrounded myself with the crowd. My eyes track her across the room as she steps into his arms.

Logan tries not to laugh at her but I see that twitch of his lips. She's witty, I'll give her that. That can't be what made him choose her over me. I'm witty too, damnit.

My whiskey is almost finished by the time they've decided to escape the room. My glass hits the table a little harder than intended as I wait for the sound of the front door and follow them back out.
