Christian Axel, also known as Mad Maxximillian, is the Mortar King. It is 1975 and he also holds the title of Collar King and Dungeon Master Supreme. He wears the triple crown. He is approaching his eighteenth birthday as this book begins. He is both an epileptic and a disorganized schizophrenic. He is also the Lord and Master of the Haus. Though the powers of such are often disputed by the Elders occupying the Fur Thrones.
The Haus he lives in is seven stories tall with the Fur King living on the seventh floor, his Five Fur Princes are on the sixth floor. The Silk Queen normally resides on the fifth floor along with her Five Silk Throne occupants. The Mortar King has imposed a death sentence on the Silk Queen. As long as she is pregnant the death sentence cannot be imposed. Her husband is Mad Maxximillian's half-brother.
There are three royal positions in the Haus. Sometimes they work together. Most times they oppose the other two.
Mad Maxximillian assassinated his father, Xavier, who was also known as The Child Killer. In turn, the five Elders took turns using Maxximillian as a sexual plaything. On the first Throne and temporarily acting as the Fur King since the Fur Queen is imprisoned in the Pit, is Claus who has a regularly schedule sexual session with Maxximillian on each Thursday at one in the afternoon.
Occupying the next Fur Throne is Jonas, a former agent with the Soviet military intelligence agency, who assumed his position at the end of World War Two. He married Mad Maxximillian in order to control his money and destiny. He has also adopted Maxximillian as his son. He regularly and forcibly sexually abuses Maxx.
The third Throne is held by Leo. This Prince loves Maxximillian. He is prone to play a waiting game in his disputes with Jonas. It makes him appear weak but some know there is steel in his spine.
Mastermind Malfred holds the fourth Throne. He escaped the Nazis while on a train to a concentration camp. He then expended numerous family members in his effort to gain power within the Haus. He recently discovered the Maxx was a cousin and has lost all interest in pursuing a sexual relationship with Maxx since Maxx is family.
The fifth Throne is held by Justus, the son of Bernt, Xavier's brother. Justus knows the history of the Haus and used Maxximillian to get to the fifth Throne. However, loyalty is not his strong point.
There are more persons than those listed above who are fighting for power within the Haus. Byron, a steroid loaded sexual sadist, is the half-brother of Mad Maxx. He wants to own Maxx. Sigrid, a woman of beauty who does the dirty work for the House leadership. Lucus, a relative of British royalty who is determined to be named Mad Maxx's Regent. Peter, the deposed Fur King who wants to return to power. Ivan, the 'retired' captain of the Russian Guard that prevents unapproved people from entering and leaving the Haus.
Finally, there is the top leadership of the Stasi who want their annual payment from the Haus full of war criminals. They also want each year for two promising submissives to be sacrificed to middle rank and rising Stasi officers as a reward at their annual December winter holiday event. Unknown to these Stasi officers is that the top leadership films the slaughter.
Finally, there is Meine Liebe who twice before was brought to the Haus as an infant. She is now a three year old living in the United States. The Haus Elders have approved of her since she met all the Legends of the Haus that prophesied about the rise of the Mortar Queen. There will be future battles over her. There're a multitude of powerful opponents who if they cannot cause the demise of the Mortar King have a backup plan to stop the rise of the Mortar Queen.
This is the fourth book of Mad Maxximillian's story recorded in "The Most Brutal Man in Europe" series. The tale of the Mortar Queen is told in the "Psycho" series and "27 Masters" series.
