商品簡介
DH is a common clinical condition characterized by a short, sharp pain arising from exposed dentin in response to thermal, evaporative, tactile, osmotic, or chemical stimuli, in the absence of any other dental pathology. Although not life-threatening, DH presents a significant clinical challenge due to its multifactorial etiology, subjective pain perception, and variable treatment response. It negatively affects patient's quality of life by interfering with eating habits, oral hygiene practices, and overall comfort, making it a frequent complaint in routine dental practice. Reported prevalence varies widely owing to differences in diagnostic criteria and study populations; however, DH is most commonly observed in young to middle-aged adults, predominantly affecting the cervical regions of premolars and canines, especially on buccal surfaces. The development of DH depends on dentin exposure and the presence of patent dentinal tubules extending from the external surface to the pulp.
