When I was 18, God answered my prayer after blacking out at a party, so I committed my life to seeking Him. My first step was to go to a Christian college, where I went to church, read my Bible, and asked God to bring me to a church where people lived as in the Bible. Within a year, I noticed a night to day change in one of the refugees from El Salvador who had been evicted from my parents' sanctuary church for drinking, etc. Before, all he wanted was weed and beer, but now he was actually happy, at peace, constantly smiling and talking about God! Finally, I gave him a ride to the house church where he'd met Christ. There I experienced and heard of God's power for the first time in my life, which led to my curiosity and eventually to full commitment to Jesus myself.

We decided to visit Bethel Church and I felt God's love so strongly that I was overwhelmed all through worship with thankfulness and hope. We listened weekly online in "sermon dates," growing in faith and love. Then God gave us a way to move to Redding to receive in person! I want to release to the Body of Christ all the breakthroughs I've gotten- living in miracles, signs and wonders in 10 years of discipling and ministering to the broken and others. We've both received the gift of healing and prophecy. I now have more unity with my husband than ever through Christ's healing and love.
