譯者序作為一個在三言兩語間難以完整闡述、長期被誤解的專業領域，內部稽核的重要性往往僅為少數專業人士所知。這也是多年來協會志工們持續努力的方向，致力於提升內部稽核的專業地位，讓利害關係人願意了解與重視。一致且通用的專業標準，是邁向卓越的基石，國際內部稽核協會（The Institute of Internal Auditors, IIA）自1947年以來，即投入全球性專業指引與準則的建立，為內部稽核實務及其利害關係人提供一致的執行標準與專業期待。2024年推出最新版「全球內部稽核準則」（Global Internal Audit Standards），更是迄今最全面的專業規範。若是蘋果創辦人賈伯斯來介紹，他會說：「2024 GIAS是史上最完美的內部稽核準則」。有幸參與此一重要準則的繁體中文版翻譯工作，深刻體會到專業翻譯的嚴謹與艱辛。不光得精通專業術語，還需憑藉實務工作累積的內部稽核經驗，努力掌握原文深意，並深入了解訂定各項準則的背景與初衷。為此，我額外研讀官方的《Report on the Standard-Setting and Public Comment Process》等文件，做足超越翻譯所需的知識準備；再者，不同語言之間的專業用語轉換，並非單純的一對一對應，而是需要綜合考量脈絡、慣例、實務現況等多重因素。以「Chief Audit Executive」為例，雖然法令規章與上市櫃公司財報多採「內部稽核主管」一詞，但實務上仍有「總稽核」、「稽核長」等不同稱謂，如何維持法規用語一致性同時兼顧實務狀況，是翻譯過程的一大考驗；最後，儘管協會工作人員協助提供簡譯初稿，然而若要在保留英文原意的同時，以流暢易懂的中文傳達專業內涵，仍需一字一句精雕細琢，期能稍近信、達、雅的理想境界。這120頁、近5萬字的專業原文翻譯過程，實為一場「吟安一個字，撚斷數莖鬚」的深刻淬煉。縱使翻譯過程極具挑戰，所投注的心力或許遠超過實質回報，但能為提升內部稽核專業發展盡一份心力，促進非英語背景的利害關係人對國際準則的理解，這份付出便顯得意義非凡。期望本譯作能讓內部稽核專業在繁體中文世界中被看見，並為實務工作者提供更明確的專業指引。本譯作力求精確與通暢，過程中承蒙黃允暐理事長悉心指導，以及編譯秘書曾婉甄協助處理繁瑣編務。此外，也要特別感謝Ariel與Emily，是她們在這段期間的包容與支持，讓我得
