商品簡介
This book for teachers and teacher educators in multicultural, social justice, and urban education presents articles by teacher educator Sleeter (California State University-Monterey Bay), previously published over the past seven years. The edited articles include case studies, essays, and research reports shedding light on neoliberalism's assaults on social justice teaching and on any pedagogy or curriculum that supports students from diverse backgrounds, especially students of color and immigrants. Some specific subjects explored include teaching for democracy in an age of corporatocracy, critical race theory and anti-racist education, and teacher education and development for culturally responsive pedagogies.
