He teaches that the values should be established in the beginning stages of the painting, using a monochromatic block-in that allows you to glaze pure layers of color over a muted gray underpainting. Mario Andres Robinson studied fine art at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, and received his BFA in 1993.
