This edition presents it in three volumes, this first devoted to the frame: the Prologue, Book One and Book Eight. Extensive marginal glosses and explanatory endnotes are included. The format has been changed for the second edition to make it easier for readers to find their way around. The second volume covers Books 2-4, and the third Books 5-7.
